Yuasa Town Birthplace of Soy Sauce

Soy Sauce Mmmmm!

This short film shows how soy sauce is made in Yuasa Town, Wakayama. Film director Mile Nagaoka talks about the origins of where soy sauce came from. A Japanese priest in the 13th century after coming back from China created a process of making miso (a soybean paste) that he learned from the Chinese. It’s a process that hasn’t change in over 750 years.

Beautifully shot with good pacing and beautiful cinematography and lighting.
